#47. From Vintage Jewelry to Floral Art: "Aurora"

"Aurora" was created as an intuitive, layered composition, inspired by light, movement, and the quiet magic of color.
The process began with selecting a calm, deep grey background to allow every element to glow and stand out. From there, I started building the composition from the center outward, carefully arranging vintage and contemporary jewelry elements—brooch fragments, crystals, rhinestones, beads, pearls, and decorative metal details.
Each piece was chosen not only for its shape, but for how it reflects light. Soft pastels, cool blues, warm champagne tones, and subtle greens were balanced to create a gentle shimmer, similar to the natural glow of an aurora in the night sky.
I worked slowly, layer by layer, testing placement before permanently fixing each element. Some parts overlap, others peek through—this creates depth and a sense of organic movement, as if the bouquet is softly floating rather than being perfectly symmetrical.
Special attention was given to contrast: matte surfaces next to faceted crystals, smooth pearls beside textured metal, and floral shapes mixed with abstract details. Nothing was added randomly—every component needed to “belong” and support the overall harmony of the piece.
The composition was framed in an ornate silver frame, which echoes the luminous quality of the artwork and completes the feeling of elegance and quiet radiance.
"Aurora" is crafted from used jewelry parts and decorative elements, transformed into a new visual story—one where light, memory, and craftsmanship come together.
