☀️ Join us for a boat trip through the Oslofjord and experience true autumn vibes aboard T1.
In this episode, we depart from Aker Brygge, test the marina, and visit Oscarsborg – filled with history, museums, great food, and evening calm in the guest harbor.

We start the day at Aker Brygge. The sun rises over Akershus Fortress as the city slowly wakes up. We show you how to find guest spots at Aker Brygge Marina, where the sanitary facilities are (literally) under water, and how the marina system works. You’ll get tips on power, water, and how to avoid fines in the 5-knot zone. Aker Brygge is the perfect base when visiting Oslo by boat.

After breakfast, we prepare T1. Power, flag, and fenders – all set before departure. We test our headset communication, start the engines, and Lilli releases the lines while HC maneuvers out of the slip. We wave goodbye to Aker Brygge and head south toward Oscarsborg Fortress.

We cruise along the east side of the harbor, past Nakkholmen and Koppernaglen, talking about alternative routes out of Oslo. Skippo shows the way, and we take a look at the inner Oslofjord islands – Bunnefjorden, Hovedøya, Lindøya, Bleikøya, and Gressholmen. Lilli serves her own Power Soup on board – perfect before a day full of discoveries.

Further on, we pass Steilene, Fyrsteilene, and Spro Harbor – a new guest marina and restaurant we’ll have to test later. As we approach Oscarsborg, the pace slows down. The 5-knot zone applies, and Lilli gets the fenders ready while HC maneuvers calmly in. We find the right spot on the floating dock, get a friendly hand from our neighbor, and secure T1 for the night.

The sun peeks through as we go exploring. At Oscarsborg, history comes alive. We see the statue of Birger Eriksen – the man who made the fateful decision to open fire on the German cruiser Blücher on April 9, 1940. We visit the museum inside the fortress walls, see the old cannons, and get a glimpse of the dark chapter when the Nazis took over the fortress.

The day ends with dinner at Oscarsborg Guest Harbor Restaurant – great food, a cozy atmosphere, and the last rays of the evening sun over the fjord. Tomorrow, we’ll continue exploring the northern island when the light is at its best. A day filled with boating, history, and real autumn vibes. Welcome aboard T1!
