How to make Sweet and Sour Sauce

In this video, we show you how to make the perfect Sweet and Sour Sauce — a versatile and beloved classic that pairs perfectly with many of your favorite Chinese takeaway dishes. This sauce is the perfect accompaniment to dishes like chicken balls and anything else you fancy adding a tang to!

Makes roughly 300ml
Ingredients:
100ml water
75ml white vinegar
25ml orange squash
4 tbsp granulated sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp white pepper
1/2 tbsp tomato puree
1 1/2 ketchup (Heinz is preferred due to its sourness!)
1/4 small lemon (freshly squeezed)
1/2 tsp worcester sauce
2 tsp potato starch
2 tsp water
Instructions:
1) Add ingredients from water to worcester sauce in order in a jug
2) Mix potato starch and water to make slurry
3) Add S&S mix into saucepan and heat up. Mix occasionally.
4) When almost boiling, add in the slurry and mix until boiling
5) Turn off the heat
