Course Title: Linear control systems
Course Link: • LCS 1a - Introduction to control systems
Transient response characteristics and stability of a feedback control systems is determined by its closed loop poles. Therefore, in order to achieve the desired transient characteristics, location of closed loop poles is computed. If the desired closed loop poles lie on the root locus, a simple gain adjustment can achieve desired response. The gain corresponding to the desired closed loop poles can be determined from the magnitude condition.
This lecture presents the design of a gain controller to achieve required design specification.
