Athletes Are Human Too: Stop the Cruelty

In this video, we’re addressing a heartbreaking moment in MLB that shines a light on a much bigger issue—mental health and grief in professional sports.

During a recent game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox, a 22-year-old fan was ejected and banned from all MLB ballparks after shouting an inappropriate comment about Ketel Marte’s late mother. Marte was visibly emotional at the plate, brought to tears by the cruelty.

This isn't an isolated incident. Earlier this season, Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran was heckled for opening up about a past suicide attempt.

Athletes aren't machines. They're humans—grieving, struggling, and still showing up under unimaginable pressure. It’s time for fans, media, and the sports world to change the narrative.
