Great Western Railway 800313, Bristol Temple Meads to Swindon - 23/09/2021

Filmed on 23/09/2021. It is homeward bound day as we make our way back to Yorkshire. The journey home, we take a ride on board a GWR class 800 no. 800313 that works 1A27: Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington (Season 8 Episode 43)

Before I booked this holiday, I decided to check travelling via Cross Country Trains direct to York via Birmingham, Derby & Leeds but the ticket prices are very expensive even when travelling in standard class. It would have been okay if the price was decent but for a single ticket standard seat, £70.

However, we did decide to travel via Great Western Railway to London Paddington then LNER Azuma to Yorkshire. Ticket prices worked out a lot cheaper especially via Hitachi finest units. So, this is the better option to London. The original plan was to film the whole journey between Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington but passengers pulled the blind down due to sunlight, it became just between Bristol and Swindon instead.
