We started early to reach Scouts Overlook and the West Rim before the crowds, catching golden sunrise light over Wildcat Canyon and sweeping views of Zion’s wilderness. After a long climb past Potato Hollow, the descent to the Grotto delivered sheer switchbacks and some of the most spectacular western scenery I’ve ever experienced — see it for yourself.
