Dr. Pfeffer is a clinician-scientist in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and the Hotchkiss Brain Institute at the University of Calgary. Having completed his medical degree at McGill University, neurology residency at the University of British Columbia, and PhD training at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom, his research endeavours primarily concentrate on gene discovery in hereditary neuromuscular diseases and the intricate mechanistic processes which cause disease pathology.
