This ROMDAS LCMS video highlights the operating principle with steps to collect and process the 3D road profile and pavement condition data. Manufactured by Pavemetrics, and integrated by ROMDAS, the Laser Crack Measurement System (LCMS) uses high-speed cameras, 2 laser line projectors, and advanced optics to acquire high-resolution 3D profiles of the road surface. It is connected to a central system and controlled by the ROMDAS Acquisition Software to automatically measure, detect and quantify all key functional parameters of pavement in a single survey, including cracking, rutting, texture, potholes, shoving, raveling, and many other defects.
