Do you pronounce it with a "t" or say "ore-zha". Maybe even "Orange-eat." However you say it, this recipe is as easy as it gets to make real, delicious, homemade Orgeat. And if anyone corrects your pronunciation because "that's not how the French say it!!!" ask them to say croissant. Unless there's a silent "t" and a magical "w" somewhere in there, tell them to take a hike, s'il te plaît.

This orgeat recipe is easy, and fast, and it's better than almost all store-bought brands and just as good as the best and most popular ones, in my opinion of course. The almond milk concentrate is shelf stable, so if you need Orgeat in a pinch you can easily make it as long as you have some sugar on hand.

60 Second Orgeat
3 tbsp Almond Milk Concentrate (+/- for preference)
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
¼ tsp rose water
¼ tsp orange blossom water
blend everything together at the same time until smooth

Filtered Version (my preference)
3 tbsp Almond Milk Concentrate (+/- for preference)
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
¼ tsp rose water
¼ tsp orange blossom water
¼ tsp almond extract
blend almond milk concentrate and water first. Filter through the coffee filter and change coffee filters once or twice as needed. This will take time. Add the almond milk back to the blender and blend with the remaining ingredients. I typically don't prefer heavy almond extract or marzipan flavors, but just ¼ tsp works well here. Omit if you don't like that flavor.
