This is a drive from Newport News to the Sandbridge Beach area of Virginia Beach in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. The drive starts at Denbigh Avenue in Newport News and utilizes I-64, I-264, and local city roads to reach the more laid-back Sandbridge Beach. As there are no counties in most of Hampton Roads, we are in the city limits of Virginia Beach despite how rural the drive gets. In the early 1960s, the City of Virginia Beach and Princess Anne County consolidated resulting in the city limits extending from the North Carolina Border north to the Chesapeake Bay and a few miles inland to Norfolk. The drive ends at Sandbridge Seaside Market.
