Michael Santos concluded more than 26 years as a federal prisoner on August 12, 2013. While serving time in prisons of every security level, he worked each day to reconcile with society for bad decisions he made during a reckless transition between youth and adulthood. A three-part plan guided his adjustment. He worked to educate himself, to contribute to society and to build a strong support network.
This video features Michael Santos' "TED"-style talk at the 2014 State of the Valley Conference, sponsored by Joint Venture Silicon Valley. The conference took place at the Santa Clara Convention Center, on February 7, 2014.
