[4KHDR] Driving in Germany and the Netherlands: Bundesstraße B1 & N278 from Aachen to Maastricht

In this video you can drive along from Aachen in Germany to Maastricht in the Netherlands. Together with the Belgian city of Liège they form a larger '3 city - 3 country' metropolitan area.

Both Aachen and Maastricht are very popular with students and have good universities. The cities are also similar in regards of having a fairly compact city center. Both are worth a visit. Especially Maastricht, which is typically regarded as the most 'undutch' city in the Netherlands.

The distance covered in this video is not much more than 30 kilometers, but it's by all means considered to be the 'scenic route' between both cities. Typically one would take the highways in the area, Autobahn A4 and Dutch motorways A76, A79 and A2.

From minute 12 : 43 you can see the Gulpener 'beer bridge'. Gulpener beer is a smaller Dutch beer brand but still quite authentic. A bridge over the road transports goods between the brewery and further locations of the company.

At minute 16 : 08 there is the exit on the left to the American war cemetery of Margraten. I've visited once many years ago and it's quite impressive. Memorials are still held there each year.
