Our documentary takes you inside the heart of Thakurwadi, where we explore the everyday challenges faced by its residents. With no proper roads or transport facilities except for a single train, the village remains isolated and cut off from opportunities the outside world often takes for granted. Children walk miles in the harsh sun for education in under-equipped schools, families suffer in silence due to the absence of medical facilities, and the community grapples daily with severe water shortages that test their endurance and dignity.

Through intimate conversations, raw visuals, and stories straight from the villagers themselves, this film sheds light on realities hidden behind the lush greenery and tourist trails of the Western Ghats. Thakurwadi is not just a village—it is a reflection of countless rural communities across India whose voices go unheard, their struggles invisible in the shadows of development.
