Watford Junction Station is located on the West Coast Mainline between London Euston and Rugby,
The station is managed by London Northwestern Railway and sees services by Avanti West Coast, Southern, London Overground and London Northwestern Railway call here.
London Northwestern Railway services operate frequently towards: London Euston or towards: St Albans Abbey, Birmingham New Street or Crewe using a mix of Class 350 and Class 730 Electric Multiple Units.
Avanti West Coast services operate a few times a hour towards London Euston or towards: Birmingham New Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street or beyond towards Preston, Glasgow Central and Edinburgh. Avanti services are operated at the most recent time of filming with a mix of Class 390 Electric Multiple Units and Class 805 Diesel Electric Multiple Units. Up to 2024 Class 220 and Class 221 Diesel Multiple Units were also used on some services.
Southern services operate frequently towards East Croydon via Shepherds Bush and on to other various locations in South London, these services are operated with Class 377 Electric Multiple Units.
London Overground services operate towards London Euston using the DC lines via Harrow and Wealdstone, these services are operated with a mix of Class 378 and Class 710 Electric Multiple Units.
