Kenya’s City of the Future

Kenya is building Konza Technopolis, a $14.5 billion dollar smart city that Kenya’s hopes will become the Silicon Valley of Africa. Konza Technopolis will lie 60 kilometers southeast of Nairobi, covering 20.2 square kilometers and eventually hosting 185,000 people. It will host a world class postgraduate university and will have a green, pedestrian focused city layout. Konza Technopolis is under construction and its first phase is planned to be completed by 2022.
