India’s $2.7BN Dholera Smart City

India is building a $2.7 billion dollar smart city called Dholera. The Dholera SIR will host 2 million people, provide 827 thousand new jobs, and transform the Gujarat region. The megaproject also includes a new international airport and a massive dam across the Gulf of Khambhat. By its planned completion in 2042, Dholera will stand as a marvel.
