Demand Raised for Permanent Recruitment Policy in Budget Session 2026–27
Jammu & Kashmir:
Various employee groups and job aspirants have strongly demanded the announcement of a permanent recruitment and job policy during the upcoming Budget Assembly Session 2026–27. The demand aims to address long-pending employment issues and regularization of thousands of workers across different departments.
The demand includes regularization and job security for Seasonal Teachers, Vocational Trainers (VTs), Cluster Resource Coordinators (CRCs), KKG workers, CAPD Fair Price Shop dealers, CPW workers, land donors, and Assistant Professors. They also urged the government to immediately fill up vacant posts including Naib Tehsildar, Sub-Inspector (Police), and Government Teachers.
Additionally, strong demands were raised to re-engage the disengaged 2018-19 contractual teachers and regularize daily wagers working in PHE, PDD, and PWD departments, who have been serving for years without job security and proper benefits.
The protestors stated that continuous delays in recruitment and regularization have pushed thousands of families into financial distress. They appealed to the government to show political will and ensure justice by announcing a clear and permanent job policy in the forthcoming budget session.
