Beanie and Captain Huffenpuff search a mysterious temple to rescue Cecil the Sea Serpent, ultimately using a magical “lucky egg” to pull Cecil safely back to them.

ABOUT TIME FOR BEANY:
Time for Beany was a live puppet show created by legendary WB animator Bob Clampett that aired broadcasting five days a week on KTLA Los Angeles from 1949-1953, then on KTTV from September 1953-1955. The show became a cultural phenomenon, beloved by children and adults alike - including fans such as Albert Einstein, Frank Zappa, Groucho Marx, and Lionel Barrymore.

ABOUT THIS PRESERVATION:
This episode is part of an ongoing preservation project to digitize over 1,000 Time for Beany kinescope episodes before they deteriorate beyond repair. Many of these films are severely degraded, and some are currently being treated at UCLA's film preservation laboratory. Each scan costs approximately $150 and represents a race against time to save this irreplaceable piece of television history.
