This is Queen's last show at Chicago Stadium as they wouldn't return to the city of Chicago but rather choose two different suburbs for the next two tours (Rosemont in 1980 and Hoffman Estates in 1982). Just like in early 1977, the temperatures were freezing cold and it didn't help that the dressing room doors wouldn't close, leaving the band shivering in cold before the show even started which could explain some vocal issues from this show onwards. Additionally, the band were forced to leave the stage for a few minutes after "Somebody to Love" due to technical problems. Nonetheless, the overall mood on stage is great as usually on this tour with plenty of great moments and funny stage banter (about blowjobs for example) throughout. Freddie even teases the audience with the piano intro of his own "Don't Stop Me Now" before launching into "Spread Your Wings". The full song wouldn't be added until the start of the European Tour in 1979.
