《Campanola Global Art Collection Concept》
Fascinating aspects of Campanola include written characters created using traditional Japanese lacquerware technique, the movement by La Joux-Perret, and a traditional Swiss tourbillon. The Campanola Global Art Collection has been named to depict the fusion between Japan, represented on the face of the watch, and Switzerland, represented on the reverse. The tourbillon is a mechanism that fits with this theme because it negates gravity and keeps time.

《Origins of the Development of the Campanola Global Art Collection.》
The project to develop the Campanola Global Art Collection began when the design department of La Joux-Perret proposed an idea of designing watches to Campanola. When exploring the designs, La Joux-Perret considered processing methods and finishing variations. They searched for the best solution, repeatedly going over the process of refinement by sharing ideas with Japanese partners. As a result of this process, the Campanola Global Art Collection is full of components that only La Joux-Perret can manufacture, such as the handmade parts created by specialized craftsmen and the delicate designs that only skilled watchmakers can assemble.

《Attention to the Carriage》
The Carriage–A symbolic component of a watch equipped with a tourbillon. A carriage is composed of a collection of parts and is an essential component associated with the accuracy of a watch. What is important here is to ensure the accuracy of the center of gravity of the carriage. To achieve this, the Campanola logo near the bells is not only used as a design but also as a weight to bring the center of gravity of the carriage to the appropriate position.

《Artisanal Pride in the Tourbillon》
Helena, who was in charge of finishing the component, said, “I was really excited when I learned that I was involved in the production of the tourbillon. The finished products display craftsmanship and the beauty of handwork. Because manufacturing these timepieces is an intricate process, it is particularly satisfying to complete the products.”

《The Design Concept》
The first thing we decided on was the overall theme of connecting time and people. From the theme, we extracted the keywords “heaven” and “earth.” The design theme of heaven was outer space. The beauty of outer space is represented by a layer of lacquer and platinum on a blue dial. The design theme of the earth is expressed as land using metal and lacquer.

《The Mechanism of the Campanola Tourbillon》
The distinct feature of the flying tourbillon is its extraordinary thinness—3 mm is among the thinnest in the industry. The thickness is reduced by 50% compared to the standard tourbillon made by La Joux-Perret. The tourbillons are produced in an integrated manufacturing process. The company handles everything in-house, from processing to the finishing of the movement, including the decoration. The exquisite workmanship is suffused with individual character.

《Keeping Time for Tomorrow》
The combination of lacquer and La Joux-Perret’s tourbillon creates a product with a profound appeal, produced through collaboration between Japan and Switzerland. “We are honored to have gained a great opportunity in this joint project … It is highly significant for Japan and Switzerland to combine tradition with watchmaking technology,” said David. He also described the Campanola Global Art Collection as a fruit of the collaboration between Japan’s traditional artisanship and La Joux-Perret’s craftsmanship.
