Crystal Creek Rock Slides, Big 4 Airlie Beach, Cedar Creek Falls, Lazy Acre Farm Stay, Airlie Beach

You may have noticed that it has been a while since we last put a video up. We have now returned to Perth and have had to slip back into the daily routine. We have a heap of footage that is waiting to be edited, when John finds the chance he will put the videos together and put them up on Youtube. We hope you enjoy sharing in our experience.

This week we explore the area surrounding Airlie Beach. We stay at the Big 4 Caravan Park which has one of the best waterslide areas out of any of the caravan parks that we have stayed at. They also have mini golf and a little hobby farm where the kids can feed the animals.

We took a day trip to Cedar Creek Falls, which is only about 15 minutes from the caravan park. It's a nice little place to explore and have a dip. If you want to go for a swim a bit closer to the ocean, the Airlie Beach Lagoon is right on the foreshore in the middle of town and has other facilities surrounding the lagoon.

As we continued north we decided to stay at Lazy Acre Mango Planataion just outside of Townsville. It was a great little place to chill and it has a creek running along the back of the property where the kids can explore and have a splash.

Just north of Townsville is Crystal Creek and we reckon a stop in is most definitely worth it. We had one of our most memorable days here enjoying the rock slides. The rock pools aren't too deep and the slides are pretty tame so it's a great place for the whole family to have a bit of fun.
