In episode 9 of Dimensions in Dementia, Tony and Mary Miller talk to Dayna Ritchey (program director) and Andrew Pytlik (Walk director) from the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Cincinnati Chapter about when they started to see the warning signs, the beginning of their journey with dementia, which began with Tony’s diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer’s diagnosis three years later.
Whether it was in building a multi-million-dollar business, inspiring others with a message of personal empowerment or dealing with life’s many challenges, including a diagnosis of dementia, Mary and Tony Miller have done it all as true life partners, including how they live with Alzheimer’s.
Married 34 years, Mary and Tony have a blended family of five children and 11 grandchildren. They worked together in the family-owned and Cincinnati-based business, JANCOA, the janitorial service Tony started when he was 20 years old, shortly after the death of his father.
Tony and Mary are now both retired, and the company is now headed by their daughter Christy Bard, son-in-law Clint Bard, and Tony’s younger brother Ron Miller.
