After our small house was finally completed, my daughter and I entered a new phase in our lives. No longer just about shelter, the next important thing was earning money to make ends meet, so that my daughter wouldn't have to worry about going hungry or lacking clothes every day.
In today's episode, my daughter and I harvested some giant winter squash. We took them to the market to sell. The money wasn't much, but it was enough for me to buy some meat and prepare a nutritious meal for my daughter – her first delicious meal after days of only eating wild vegetables and bamboo shoots, and going hungry. Seeing her eat so happily filled my heart, and I knew that all the hardships were worth it.
The journey of a single mother is not easy, but with each small step and each day of effort, I believe that my daughter and I will have a better life. Thank you everyone for always being there, listening, and encouraging my daughter and me throughout this journey. 💗
