Built in 1983, the Spooner Road Estate formely served as quarters for Malaysian Railway Staff and replaced the original 5 blocks that were built in the 1930s.
The 2 blocks consisting of Melati and Kemuning were later returned back to Singapore and used as rental blocks.
It is also known as one of the most haunted estates.
In 2024, residents have vacated the flats owing to redevelopment of the area.
