Ingredients:
Paneer: 250 gm
Potato: 2 nos medium size
Green peas: 1/2 cup
Tomato: 2
Cashew nut: 8-10 nos
Ginger: 1"
Butter: 1tsp
Ghee: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
Cumin powder: 1tsp
Chilli Powder: 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri red mirch powder: 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
Green chilli: 2
Salt to taste
Sugar : 1tsp
White oil: 2 tbsp
For tempering:
Green cardamom: 3 nos
Cloves: 3 nos
Dry red chilli: 1
Bay leaf: 1
Procedure:
Cut paneer and potato into cubes. Make paste of tomato, cashew nut and ginger. Heat oil, add 1tsp butter, shallow fry the paneer, potato cubes and rest aside. Add the tempering masala mentioned above, fry for few seconds, add the tomato paste and fry for a minute. Add the powder spices, little water and saute for few minutes. Add sugar, green peas, potato, mix with the masala, add paneer and adequate water to boil all the ingredients covering lid. Cook till the ingredients are boiled and the gravy thickens. Add ghee, garam masala powder lastly. Transfer it into a pot. The delicious Paneer curry is ready to serve. Enjoy with roti paratha or pulao.
