I made this small drawing on site the other day and purposely left out commentary as I was making it so I could do voice-over later.
I let you in on a lot of basic truths about drawing and how my mind is working as I make each piece. And I make the point that the best way to learn if you are a young artist is to simply absorb what others are doing. See what they are doing, watch carefully how they are proceeding, and see what is being accomplished. Do this a lot and pick and choose who you learn from, but learn from many people. And keep practicing with the methods or ideas that you take away. Your mix will happen in your way. Be careful of too strict prescriptive methods. And I might add, be careful of grand theories.
These on-site drawings and paintings get laid onto small hand-crafted painted panels. Each is signed on the back, varnished for protection, and made permanent and indelible.
