Experimenting with how the choice of drive pulley diameter affects the speed of the Jensen model 15 generator when it is driven by a Jensen model 20 steam engine.
The measurements are taken with a laser tachometer aimed at a piece of reflective tape on the pulley.
It seemed like an interesting experiment to see how the choice of pulley affects the effective speed of the Jensen model 15 generator. The test is made with a bulb as a load, and without a bulb, to reduce the load. As expected, the maximum generator speed is achieved without the load.
