New 2025 stereo mix of the original 60 second opening them to "The Price Is Right" as heard beginning in 1972. A great theme, and from what I have read, composer Edd Kalehoff is using a Moog Synth in this arrangement, a truly timeless sound!
Since beginning this journey of DES mixing, I have learned a lot retrospectively, including that I didn't used to give a lot of time to let a mix grow on me before considering it "finished". A listener pointed out that fact, and I have had a good discussion with them about needing to walk away from a mix and come back to see if it still sounds as good after a little time has passed!
For example, they pointed out that the horns would be better centered, and they should be, as the horns lead the song throughout. Also, In the beginning, I used to go VERY heavy on bass, versus using more balanced EQ throughout the recording. I hope you enjoy this new one!
