So much has been on my mind these past few days with the Inauguration (if I'm being honest, ever since Election Day). Trying to deal with one setback after another has not put me into the best of head spaces. And I ache for those who are suffering from these dehumanizing attacks. But then I remembered that even though I may not have the right words to uplift and support my neighbor, I do have my music. This song, from one of my favorite Broadway musicals, has been playing nonstop in my head, so I decided to listen to this sign from the universe, make myself vulnerable, and share what's on my heart with you all, through music. We can stand strong, fight back, and get through this.
At the end of the video I included a page from the @hrcmediaa list of resources for those in the LGBTQ+ community. As they stated, we are "in this together." Let's support each other more than ever, and not be afraid to ask for help when needed.
On a lighter note, my apologies to mezzos for stealing their song and changing the key. I'll try to not complain if you steal one of our songs. ;-)
