We’ve brought our tiny van, Sooty, deep into Arctic Norway to live through the Polar Night — a world of complete darkness, freezing storms, and some of the most breathtaking moments we’ve ever filmed.

This is Arctic van life at its most extreme.

In this episode, we learn what it really means to live without sunlight. We drive through snowstorms, cook reindeer for dinner, take a sauna and roll in the snow, explore dramatic beaches like The Devil’s Teeth, and even go night skiing under the northern lights. The Arctic is wild, unforgiving, and unbelievably beautiful — sometimes all at once.

Living in a van during the Polar Night forces you to slow down, reflect, and face the darkness in more ways than one. We find a place to park, light up the fire pit, and talk honestly about the challenges, the beauty, and the reality of choosing this life.
