Nate Morton Drum Cam 25 - Heatwave

The band wanted this track to be brimming with youthful high energy. It was performed on the show by an incredibly talented young lady named Aliyah Moulden. She consistent brought such vibrance to all of her performances that she inspired myself and the entire band to bring equally as much energy.

Before anyone asks, the “claps” at 1:18 on the REAL LOVE drop… they are on track… I’m not triggering from my snare or anything fancy like that. -also, the stick in the teeth, cymbal choke thing… okay… I’m not quite sure where that came from. Seems like something I would’ve messed around with in college cause I thought it was cute, but I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve ever done such a thing in public… hahaha… I kind of imagine it should’ve been a knife and the stick in my hand, a sword, as I swung across the bow of a pirate ship or something… but I digress…
