Everybody online seems to know exactly what's going on. Confident takes on economics, geopolitics, parenting, health - all delivered like settled fact. Meanwhile the actual experts who've spent decades studying this stuff can't agree on anything.
I've been thinking about how we got here. How confidence became the credential. How the algorithm rewards certainty whether or not it's earned. And how I catch myself doing the same thing - feeling that pull to have a take on everything even when I genuinely don't know.
This is me trying to perform a little less. Not sure I'm any good at it yet.
