I'll only do a book review if I feel it's something really important. This is one of those books. In short we all have perfectionism buried deep inside of us, and it’s telling us really stupid lies. Especially if you’re a creative type (but really anyone) you need to get a hold of what Jon Acuff has to say about overcoming perfectionism.
It’s sort of a manual on “how to overcome procrastinating" by confronting your inner perfectionist.
This book is short and easy. If you actually want to complete your goals, finish a project, or get that job you’ve always wanted—you can’t miss this book. Seriously you could probably finish it in two sittings.
Also there’s a hilarious and horrifying bit about my childhood involving the original Pokemon and an old school Gameboy.
