Shoulder internal rotation occurs at the glenohumeral joint, where the scapula & humerus articulate forming a ball and socket joint.

Shoulder internal rotation is the rotating the arm medially towards the midline of the body on its own long axis, typically around 45 degrees across the transverse plane.

The agonistic muscle which enable shoulder internal rotation include the deltoids, latissimus dorsi & pectoralis major
