Today we are featuring Thai Laksa or Laksa Lemak Siam recipe rich in flavors and bold in its array of fresh ingredients. If you have a sudden Thai food craving? Why not try this super delicious and creamy Thai Laksa recipe.
In Malaysia, there are so many versions of Laksa and some laksa represent certain states as well. The more popular version in my opinion as a Penang boy, would be Assam Laksa. As for this version we are featuring today, the main difference with Assam Laksa is the creaminess of the Laksa broth while ingredients are mostly the similar.
Personally I have always preferred the Lemak Thai Laksa or Nyonya Laksa version growing up and still do to this day. It is indeed a very tasty and delicious hearty dish.

Thai Laksa / Laksa Lemak Siam Ingredients:
9 cloves of onion
3 cloves of garlic
2 tsp of chili powder
5 red chilies
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp turmeric powder
3 candlenut
2 dried lime leaves
Mixture of 1 tsp coconut milk and 200 ml water
Water 300 ml
1 tbsp tamarind paste
65 ml of coconut milk
1 tsp of broth powder
1 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of sugar
Fish Mixture:
3 mackerel
1 tbsp tamarind paste
5 tsp of coconut milk
200 ml water
Garnish Side Dish:
Long beans
Cabbage
Cucumber
Basil leaves
Kantan flower
Lime
