Kaoru Hana finally ended this week, and with it came the song I've been waiting basically an entire year to come out, ever since it was previewed in the PV video last year. A song so warm and cozy, perfectly fitting for the absolutely gorgeous and perfectly executed finale for this anime. I will certainly miss it, along with the two other shows Cloverworks blessed us with this season. Losing the triple romance Saturdays is sure to leave hole in my weekly routine.

This allegedly still isn't the full song since it's labelled 'TV edit' in the special movie, but I'm not going to wait any longer until they release it haha. I don't have many arrangement notes for this one at all, it's another slow and sentimental piece like the other ED which bodes very well for my improvised playing style. So I just let the melody and chords speak for themselves, while tastefully adding small counter melody fragments where I can. Again, a lot of wide 10th intervals in the left hand are used to increase the sense of depth and warmth in the harmonies.

This has to be one of the best executed no bullshit romance series I've seen maybe ever, while I concede that I like my drama sometimes, the pure diabetes level of green flag behaviour from every character in this show is certainly something to be commended. When this song finally started playing and the credits rolled, I couldn't help but feel a sense of aching inside as I watched Rintaro, Kaoruko, Subaru and the rest of the cast enjoy their youth to the fullest. The final three stills especially are just too beautiful to describe in words. I hope that when listening to my cover, I can evoke all these wholesome and yearning emotions again for you!
