The Classic 17 Camel Puzzle

A deceased father leaves his 17 camels to his three sons. According to the man's will, the inheritance should be given in a peculiar way, 1/2 to the eldest son, 1/3 to the middle son, and 1/9 to the youngest son. With 17 camels however, it's not clear how to carry out the father's will. We look at this classic recreational mathematics problem, some variations, and related equations. #mathpuzzle #mathproblems
