Talk title: SeQuoIA: a pipeline for inference of phylogeny and selection pressure in BCR sequences from integrative single-cell sequencing data
Early Career Speaker: Eglantine Hector, Aix-Marseille University
Talk Abstract
SeQuoIA is a pipeline designed for B-cell receptor (BCR) sequencing analysis. BCRs diversify by recombination and somatic mutations in germinal centers, modulating their affinity for antigens. SeQuoIA improves the phylogenetic reconstruction of BCR lineages and optimizes the selection of evolutionary trees. Its accuracy was validated by correlations with transcriptomic data and affinity measurements. Its applications range from studies in fundamental biology to research in vaccination and diseases such as lymphomas. In addition, it allowed the identification of possible selection mechanisms in germinal centers, including signaling pathways that favor the survival of certain B cells.
