After years I finally got to see the N&W #611 Run for a day at the Strasburg Railroad, for the day it was also Accompanied by fellow N&W Mastadon number #475. Was a great first time seeing it in steam, but also bittersweet. as of now 611 will be returning to the Virginia Meuseum of Transportation, its future of running Is uncertain because of its inability to run on mainline steam. maybe she'll return to strasburg one day. who knows... But The Spirit of Roanoke is a great steamer and always will be. and hopefully she still has a bright future. thank you for watching this video everyone!
