A step by step video to replace a faulty Fuel pump on a Mercedes Benz SLK 200 roadster R171 (2005) model, the engine stuttered and then completely cut out, I suspected the Fuel pump and my local garage confirmed my suspicions. But they would not want to do the job(?). So I did 😁👌
Reasonably Easy and takes about 2 to 3 hours.
You'll need a couple of tools:
A large flat screwdriver
Various hex sockets
12mm Torx socket
T30 Bit
An Impact Screw driver
A few jerry cans and a pipe to empty the tank
Plyers etc.
-Fuel pump off Ebay for about £45.00 Manufacturer Part Number: G10083/1
Note that the two collar rings are not supplied, taking them off the old one is easy, knock them off with a bit of wood whilst holding the pump body in a vice. to fit back on the new one, they can be heated up with a blow torch and slip right on.
