Savory Quick Bread with Cheese, Jalapeño, and Sausage | No Knead, No Yeast.

Instead of using yeast to achieve a rise, this bread recipe relies upon leavening agents like baking soda and baking powder. This bread does not need to be proofed or kneaded like yeasted bread. You can simply go from the mixing bowl to the pan to the oven. The baking time can take time but these are definitely quicker than a yeasted dough.

There are near-limitless kinds of quick bread. If you can think of a flavor, chances are that some clever baker has thought of a way to stir it into a quick bread batter and bake it up in a loaf pan.

Ingredients:

We used the Ikea loaf pan 11x4 ( a 9x5
or 9x6 works too)

All purpose flour 375g
Salt 1.5g
Baking powder 12g
Sugar 13g
Sausage 70g
Jalapeno 20g
Spring onion greens 15g
1 egg
Oil 12g
Cheddar 90g
Mozarella 90g
Greek yogurt 100g (or plain yogurt/cream cheese whichever is available)
Buttermilk 375g ( or whole milk whichever is available)

Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 40-45 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
