Monarchs had many thrilling matches against Newcastle over the years, and the 2001 season was a particularly good one for the Diamonds who finished as league champions. No surprise when you see they had a heat leader trio of Bjarne Pedersen, Jesper Olsen and Andre Compton, with Kevin Little and Richard Juul thrown in!
So when they came to Armadale on 8th June we knew it would be a tough match. However Monarchs were made of stern stuff themselves, and in this match we were to be reminded of just what a talent Dalle Andersson was.
