SLEX TR4 (South Luzon Expressway Toll Road 4) is a major infrastructure project extending SLEX by 66.74 km from Sto. Tomas, Batangas, to Lucena City, Quezon, designed to cut travel time significantly (from 4 hrs to 1 hr) between these areas, boost Southern Luzon's economy, and ease traffic by connecting provinces like Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon into one efficient network. Developed by San Miguel Corporation (SMC), this toll road features multiple interchanges and is a crucial part of the region's growing expressway system. 

Key Details:

Length: 66.74 kilometers (approx. 41.47 miles).

Route: Extends SLEX from Sto. Tomas, Batangas, to Lucena City, Quezon Province.

Purpose: Improve connectivity, reduce travel time (aiming for a 1-hour trip from 4 hours), decongest traffic, and spur economic growth in Southern Tagalog.

Interchanges: Includes interchanges in Sto. Tomas, Makban, San Pablo, Tiaong, Candelaria, Sariaya, and Lucena.

Developer: San Miguel Corporation (SMC).

Status: Nearing completion (as of mid-2025 updates), with progress on its six sections.
