Writer's Note:
It was really hard to write the Naruto-Nagato scene without Jiraiya's book, since I still want the conversation to steer in that direction while also keeping the interaction away from stalling.
As for Danzo, well, instead of him taking the Hokage role for himself as in the anime and keep Sai to watch over Naruto, he's going for a different route, since Sai is NOT in the picture, nor is having multiple Anbus around a Sage a great idea. So his big idea is essentially, push a not-ready kid into the role of Hokage, watch him crumble, make the villagers lose trust in him and turn them against him (again), and THEN he'll step in, like the saviour he wishes to be. How he convinces the two village elders? We'll find out NEXT episode :)
