Mafroukeh is a traditional Lebanese dessert that combines semolina dough and ashta (clotted cream).
To make this interesting dessert, we'll need the following ingredients!
For the sugar syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
About 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the clotted cream:
2 liters of whole milk
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 tbsp of cornstarch
1 tsp rose or blossom water(optional)
For the semolina dough:
2 tbsp of ghee or butter
1/2 cup of fine semolina
1 cups of the sugar syrup that you'll be make first
For the pistachio base:
1 cup of pistachios
1/4 of powder sugar
Green food coloring
1 tsp of rose water
1 tsp of blossom water
