Wudang Qigong Exercise for Longevity.
• LONGEVITY - BaBaoZhuang (8 treasures) •
This video was produced by the ShiYan City TV Station many years ago. The series is called WuDang ShenYun and it introduces WuDang GongFu and WuDang Culture.
Today we introduce to you a unique form of Wudang Qigong NeiJia
YangSheng Gong (WuDang Longevity).
It is called Wudang Qigong YangSheng (Longevity) BaBao Zhuang
(The 8 Treasures Longevity Moves of WuDang).
In the past, most Daoists mainly meditated and sat for a long time.
This could result in Qi and blood stagnations.
Therefore they applied a special type of Wudang Qigong YinDao Shu
(Leading and Guiding methods) to exercise tendons and bones and
to let Qi and blood flow smoothly.
The BaBao Zhuang, the Eight Treasured Moves, is one of
the earliest forms of Wudang Qigong DaoYin Shu.
YangSheng (longevity) methods combine leading and guiding exercises with the breath;
Wudang Qigong YangSheng (longevity) BaBao Zhuang (8treasures) integrates these aspects perfectly.
Its set of special methods includes moving, massaging and slapping the body;
breathing in and out; intentionally moving the Qi and more.
As a result Qi and blood can flow smoothly in the body and are more balanced.
The requirements for practicing Wudang Qigong
BaBaoZhuang are a combination of movement and stillness;
mind and heart are quiet, the body relaxed.
Thereby a comfortable state is created for the body.
In this relaxed and pleasant condition the subconscious is particularly
observable and regulated. Furthermore, brain and body, the endocrine as
well as all major systems are in regulation process.
