A 100+ car pileup on a major West Michigan highway was a "nightmare," according to first responders.
For more than seven hours, I-196 near Zeeland, Michigan was shut down after semi-trucks jack-knifed and cars slid into each other.
It was anything but easy for first responders, with different crashes, people who were stranded, traffic at a standstill and bitter cold temperatures.
"It was chaos, the radio traffic we are looking for clarity, we're looking to see what's going on," Michigan State Police Sergeant David Williams said.
