FFXI - RDM Fii Pexu the Eternal Solo (No Trusts)

Not "strictly" solo, I guess - three characters are required to enter Dynamis-Divergence, and a Corsair was used to quickly defeat the wave 1 boss and clear the way to this NM. However, the entirely of the Fii Pexu fight is soloed, with no external buffs or even TP being carried over. Dimitriaz only remained in the party to ensure Volte Haubert did not go to waste if it dropped, as Mischief can't use it.

Not a terribly difficult fight until 49% if kept silenced - its melee attacks are worse than its TP moves, and Slow/Paralyze keeps that in check. Under 49% (20:30 in the video), eating Double Punt in a casting or WS set can result in taking over 1500 damage instantly, especially with Flailing Blow. If shadows are down or silence is off, the follow up can kill you before you can react. Combine that with RDM Weapon Skills failing to do much (Bio was used to avoid being one shot by TP moves, so Dia is out), and it's a long fight solo. Distract blocks Parry and Riposte, Dispel removes Howl and (with Duelist's Torque) Guttural Roar. Feather Fusillade's Poison/Bio effects are powerful but short lived, Doom is easily removed with a Holy Water set, and Stroke/Vorticose Sands are more irritating than anything else (though Stroke can also hurt if not in a DT set).

If you really want to lowman this, get a strong Scholar and Corsair (third character Geomancer or leech), use AAHM/Brygid/Ygnas trusts (summoned in that order), and SC+MB Helix it to death. It's surprisingly easy if the SCH can land Helix reliably, and it works for all of the wave 2 bosses (as well as all of the Commanders in every zone, for Volte farming). You will need to bind/run away from Hundred/Thousand Fists until it wears off, though, and be wary of Doom (Ygnas isn't the best at removing it). If AAHM dies, the boss can be easily deaggroed for resummoning by just running away. Make sure Helix or some DoT is on to prevent Regen. For the Yagudo in particular, Scholar CAN land Silence and Distract with a good enough set, though it may take a few tries.
