An increased second-line antiretroviral therapy (ART) failure rate significantly narrows future options for HIV/AIDS treatment. This has critical implications in resource-limited settings, where the burden of HIV-infection places a strain on the healthcare system. This webinar will outline evidence-based strategies and guidelines related to the containment of second-line HIV treatment, including intensive adherence support and routine clinical practice interventions, especially for patients who display a slow response to their ART regimens.
